I've talked before about how much we listen to audio books in the studio. Sewing manufacturing is repetitive work and listening to books is a great way for us to manage the monotony while learning something new everyday. So, when AudioFile magazine got in touch because they wanted to write about our love of audio books I was all, this is awesome. I was happy to discover a magazine devoted to audio book enthusiasts and I can't think of a better way to showcase our nerdy habit of listening to books on tape...er..books on mp3. Thanks to Jennifer for writing the feature and thanks to our friend Jen for taking our photo!
I do not very often write about music on this here blog because I mostly make terrible judgments and post about terrible music. I am often impulsive...listening once, reacting quick, listening a second time and then regretting letting anyone ever know I considered said music to be listen worthy. It is safe to say, I do not know much about music and Jeremy did not marry me for my taste in or knowledge of music. I know some stuff...but, I'm not up on much current music. But, this morning I came across Phoenix. And, yes, I have only listened once (ok, twice while eating my breakfast), but I really do like it! They were on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert and I guess they charmed me. You can watch it here. Who do I have to thank for introducing me to this? The Debonaire.
We have been working hard and are happy to announce that our turnaround times have shortened! We are now shipping most bags within 1-2 weeks with many styles and colors in stock (in stock items ship within 2 business days).
Parker asked me for a new bag about 4 months ago and I have finally had an opportunity to make her one. She wanted a tote style bag...with stripes. This is a special edition of 1 :: and I love how it looks. The colors are perfect together. I hope she loves it (you all are seeing it even before she has!).
**UPDATE** it's monday morning and parker has her new tote all packed up for school....she likes it!
When you saw the bolt of organic turquoise fabric in this photo, you did not hesitate to send us emails, begging and pleading to see that fabric made into a bag. And, we understand that response, you should see it in person - it's even more appealing! Everyone who comes in the studio asks when we will have bags in that color. We had originally thought of it as a lining material because we tend offer more neutral outer colors. But, we're throwing caution to the wind and mixing it up a bit...and why the hellz not! It's the year 2010! So, we're excited to say, we have added to the new organic Market Bag collection - you can find the 100% Organic Market Bag in Turquoise by clicking *here*
We hope you'll love it as much as we do! (and, you can find a small number in stock and ready to ship by clicking here)
