Before and During

Hi!  We've had such a busy few weeks, between seasonal sicknesses and a super duper high volume of orders I've been so exhausted by the time I get home from work that I just want to curl up with books and a glass of wine.  But, just the other day I had a rare few hours in the studio all alone and I spent some time photographing the space again.  I really like comparing our very first studio shots...just as we had begun working in this space, to the chaotic state it's in now (we're literally bursting at the seams! no pun intended...HA! how could that not be intended! it is. it's intended.) (whew, dork here).

Here's June of 2009 when we had just barely settled in.

And, here's this past Wednesay, February 23, 2011.
It's such a mess in here!

Have a nice weekend!!

  1. wendy,
as an independent artist who works out of my home it is so great to see what is possible. even though we don't do the same kind of work (I'm a jeweler) the space you have gives me inspiration that maybe one day I can have my own separate work space as beautiful as yours!
    thank you!

  2. I draw , I cut up paper . So there is mess .. But that mess makes your work special don't you think ? I love seeing backstage sneak peeks :) thanks , Wendy ! Your studio is lovely :)

  3. When my daughter lived in Pittsburgh I so wanted her to go by your studio, something that isn't going to happen for me living in the Ozarks (Missouri). At least I get to enjoy seeing your progress thru your photos, keep them coming...Lisa

  4. Love the messy workspace - thank you for posting it! Also, I just read your "what we did different" post and found it super-inspiring! Gives me high hopes!
    Thank you,

  5. I would not say it looks messy, basically it looks busy but highly organized. I'm very impressed and inspired!
