"Turkeys All Sold" November 21, 1945

Thanksgiving is my most favorite holiday….that and Labor Day - workers rights!! - but, I digress…Thanksgiving!  Jeremy, Parker and I have made it our tradition to gather friends and family for a huge festive feast each year.  I've been planning out the menu, the cocktails, the desserts and the seating arrangements (well…just that there WILL be seats!).  Our tiny house has never let us down for our big dinner parties and I can't wait for this year's Thanksgiving!  I hope you're looking forward to a fun one of your own!  Isn't that photo wild!  It's the Diamond Market in downtown Pittsburgh, 1945.  I saw it on the Post-Gazette Blog today and couldn't help but share it here.

Holiday Pop Up Shops!!!

We are so excited for this...PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS for December 15th, 10am-7pm.  Moop is having a one day, open studio sale!!!!  We will have our entire collection available, a whole bunch of Special Edition Bags and lots of seconds (you know those are rarely made available).  Come by to see us, check out our studio, see where your bags are made, meet everyone who works at Moop (you'll love them as much as I do!) and to meet Clyde, the studio kitty!

We are also super duper excited to be part of Kindred, a small but mighty holiday pop up shop at Makeshift Society in San Francisco.  This will also be December 15th and 16th and while I personally cannot be there, our bags will be!  Along with a few Special Edition bags that will make their debut for our San Fran friends!

Lastly, we will be above Dozen this Thursday in Lawrenceville.  If you're in the area, come on by to see us and shop for bags!  We'll have a small collection with us. There will be champagne and cupcakes and a few other talented ladies who make things.  Stop by between 5pm and 8pm.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

practical shoes

Hi Folks, I'm looking for ankle boots.  A boat/chukka shoe type.  To wear with tights (my fall/winter/spring uniform).  Not something with a wedge or a heel…but an un-embellished, flat shoe.  (I'm not the type to wear wedges or heels. I'm so practical when it comes to shoes!).  Here's a few I love…not sure which I'll get just yet (though my favorites are these gray ones from Mrs.P Hicks).  Would love suggestions!
